DMCA Policy
Overview
Lumé respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), we will respond promptly to claims of copyright infringement committed using our Service.
Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that content on Lumé infringes your copyright, please submit a DMCA takedown notice containing the following information:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are involved.
- Identification of the material that you claim is infringing, including the URL or other specific location on the Service where the material can be found.
- Your contact information: Name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.

Processing of Notices
Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material promptly.
- Notify the user who posted the material about the takedown.
- Provide the user with information about filing a counter-notification.
We aim to process all valid DMCA notices within 48 hours of receipt.
Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification containing:
- Identification of the material that was removed and its original location.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district.
- Your physical or electronic signature.

Restoration of Content
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action seeking a restraining order within 10-14 business days, we will restore the removed material.
Repeat Infringers
Lumé maintains a policy of terminating accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. After receiving two valid DMCA notices against a user's content, we may permanently suspend or terminate their account without prior notice. We track all DMCA notices and maintain records to enforce this policy.
Misrepresentation
Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorney's fees.
